First Sunday of Advent Sunday, Nov 30 2008

Almighty God, give us grace that we may cast away the works of darkness, and put upon us the armor of light, now in the time of this mortal life in which thy Son Jesus Christ came to visit us in great humility; that in the last day, when he shall come again in his glorious majesty to judge both the quick and the dead, we may rise to the life immortal; through him who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Tea Thoughts Sunday, Nov 9 2008

You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.

My current tea favorite is Harney & Sons’ Holiday Tea. I first had this tea about a year ago when Jeff’s sister Emily included it in a Christmas gift basket. I just recently picked up another tin of the tea for this holiday season at Barnes & Noble (which sells a variety of Harney & Sons teas). The tea is described as “a special seasonal black tea spiced with citrus, almond, clove and cinnamon.” If you enjoy tea, I’d recommend trying a cup when you’re next at Barnes & Noble.
